International Functional Fitness Federation

About IF3

The International Functional Fitness Federation (IF3) is a nonprofit organization and the international governing body for competitive functional fitness. We increase safety and fairness through a standardized rulebook, clear movement standards, written safety guidelines, training for technical officials, and more competitive opportunities for athletes — and we sanction competitions that follow them.

Why We Exist

Our Mission

The mission of IF3 is to promote and grow competitive functional fitness worldwide. Specifically, we aim to:

  • Display the highest level of professionalism in athleticism, coaching, judging and governance of the sport.
  • Grow competitive functional fitness through grassroots sport development.
  • Keep all participating nations in full communication, working toward a coordinated programme for the good of the sport.
  • Empower nations and regions to create Centres of Excellence for developing the sport.
  • Let coaches and athletes focus solely on their craft — coaching and competing.
Governance

Executive Board

IF3 is led by an elected Executive Board with a President, Secretary General, Vice Presidents, Treasurer and Members. The full roster — with roles and biographies — lives on the IF3 governance page.
